"In reply to your letter of 23rd inst to Mr. Edison, all the papers for Mr. Connery are complete accepting copies of patents. These I expect to receive at any moment. They will hear all necessary certificates to render them useful in Mexico. ### Mr. Connery has written for and I think he should have a power of attorney authorizing him to apply to the Mexican government on behalf of Mr. Edison for such concessions in connection with the introduction and sale of phonographs as that government may be willing to grant. Will you please prepare such a power as you deem necessary and send the same to me." Respectfully, A.O. Tate
