Title
[LB027430], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to James A Russell, December 17th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"The data which Mr. Edison wanted to obtain from you in regard to land has not yet been received. You were to have come to the Laboratory several weeks ago, but have failed to do so. Can you not send me a copy of your notes? It is also very necessary that you should submit whatever information you have got regarding the claim which is made against us by Mr. J. B. Everett. If I do not get this information very soon, I will either have to pay Everett a claim which we consider very doubtful or go to Court to defend a suit which he threatens to bring. If you cannot get out here, I will send Mr. Maguire, my Stenographer, to your house any evening to obtain the data. [final line added in pen: Let me know what evening.]" Yours truly, AO Tate
