- Title
- [LB027448], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to George Edward Gouraud, December 18th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- "I enclose herewith two applications for the Agency of the Edison phonograph in the Hawaiian Islands, one from the [unclear] Hawaiian Pacific Cable Co., and the other from Mr. John I. Sabin, of [unclear] San Francisco, Cal. I may say that Mr. Sabin has already the [unclear] Agency for the phonograph on the Pacific Coast. All trade with Hawaii is done through San Francisco, and Mr. Sabin is therefore in opposition to handle the business in those islands to the best of my advantage."
