- Editor's Notes
- "Your letter of 12th instant to Mr. Edison has been received, and we will be pleased to accept your draft for fifty-six pounds when it comes forward. We observe that the amount with which you credit Col. Gouraud as advanced by him to Mr. Wiley to the 1st of Dec. is thirty pounds. Col. Gouraud, writing us under date 15th Dec. encloses a memorandum of his advances to Mr. Wiley as follows:-- [list of dates and amounts follows] ### It would appear from this that Mr. Wiley has on hand sixty pounds more than is entered upon your statement. We have written Mr. Wiley, asking him to explain the account, so that we can enter it correctly in our records."
