- [LB027856], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to George Edward Gouraud, January 21st, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- "I wrote you some little time ago, enclosing an application from Mr. John I. Sabin, of San Francisco, Cal., for the Agency of the phonograph in the Hawaiian Islands. Mr. Sabin and his associates have been very successful in the formation of a Phonograph Company for the Pacific Coast. The former feels quite confident that he can handle the phonograph in Hawaii to the very best advantage, and judging from his work on the Pacific Coast, there is every reason to believe that he knows what he is talking about. He is anxious to negotiate with you, and if you feel so disposed, I may have him communicate with you direct." Yours very truly, AO Tate
