Title
[LB029053], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Pacific Phonograph Co, Louis Glass, April 11th, 1889
Editor's Notes
"Did you receive my letter of February 21st, enclosing copy of a communication from Col. Gouraud, in which he indicated his willingness to make an arrangement with Mr. Sabin for Sandwich Islands? I have received your letter of 2d instant, in which you state that Col. Gouraud has not communicated with you, and I am writing him to-day upon the subject. I do not think you need have any fear of losing the Sandwich Islands. I cannot speak intelligently regarding Central America as I am not familiar with Col. Gourauds's operations. I do not believe, however, that he has disposed of this territory, for the reason that he has, as yet, done no real business, having devoted all his time to lectures and the general introduction of the phonograph of the peoples of England and France. I will be very glad to assist you as far as I possibly can, and I believe that after Col. Gouraud receives my communication of to-day, he will give the matter attention." Yours very truly, A.O. Tate
