"Mr. Edison has received your letter of 25th ultimo, in regard to exhibiting the phonograph at the Birmingham Electrical and Industrial Exhibition, to which end we have already taken steps by communicating with Col. Gourand, Mr. Edison's European agent. ### Mr. Edison asks me to say in relation to forwarding a case of exhibits that he has already sent every available exhibit to Paris, and fears that he will be unable to comply with this latter request."
