See letter April 30th to Upton. HAMMER' ### NEWARK, PARIS May 18, 1889 'Sent long cable sixteenth. Did you get it? French Co. Arrangement all right, but give them his phonographs, they paying experts. Edison.' ### EDISON, N.Y. May 20, 1889 'Cable received. French Company can use only one. French Telephone Co. anxious to show in special building near Tower. Can make special arrangements. I advise it. HAMMER.' ### NEWARK, PARIS May 20, 1889 'All right as to French Telephone Co. Edison."
