- "Referring to your agreement with David N. Ropes under date 20th instant, which acknowledgegs the receipt of $500 as part of the purchase money of the premises known as the "Mary A. Davis Property," (No. 10,212) situated in the township of Bloomfield, Essex Co., New Jersey, and which provides for a further payment of $4,750 to complete the said purchase, and to be made on or before the first day of June 1889, I enclose herewith my check on Messrs. Drexe, Morgan & Co. under date of 31st inst., for $4,750, in satisfaction of the payment last referred to, the receipt of which please acknowledge."
