Title

[LB030320], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Thomas Alva Edison, June 12th, 1889

Editor's Notes

"Wangemann told me this morning that you had instructed him to engage passage to Europe on Saturday next 15th inst and went to N.Y. to secure it. I have telegraphed you for instruction in view of your proposed absence. If you want Wangemann to go I can give him the necessary letters to Gouraud and Hammer. I presume you want the former to arrange facilities for Wangemann to get records outside of Paris. If you write me tomorrow a few words outlining your ideas I will prepare the letters—or I can give him a letter to Hammer and the Gouraud letter can follow by next steamer." Yours AO Tate [after signature: "All Gouraud's material went today Baldwins Express S.S. City of Paris. Cylinders sent exactly as you directed and instructions as dictated by you." AOT]
