- "I beg to confirm the following telegram sent you to-day:- ### 'Have very serious complaints about Bridgeport Machine. They claim they cannot get the amperes and can only get twenty volts. I am afraid of serious trouble with Mr. Hillard, who controls the whole business. You had better go to Bridgeport to-night yourself; take best man you have and leave him with machine until it is absolutely satisfactory. This matter is of great importance. Answer my house.'"
