- Editor's Notes
- I have been away so much lately that I have not before had an opportunity to reply to your very kind letter, under date May 8th, 1889, and in addition to this I was not altogether sure that my business here would allow me to take a holiday in Europe. I find now that I can get away, and it is my present intention to sail about the 3rd of August. It will give me great pleasure to accept of your kind hospitality at any time convenient to yourself after the 18th of August next. The arrangments in regard to phonograph I will make when I get to Paris. I have a man there now taking records of the leading musical artists, and he will have a good collection by the time I arrived. With kindest regards. I am, yours very truly [TAE signature]
