Title
[LB032461], Letter from John F Randolph to Thomas Butler, October 3rd, 1889
Editor's Notes
"I beg to acknowledge receipt of your favor of the 2nd inst stating that you had received the check for $415.00/100. I thank you very much for your information in regard to the letter from Messrs. Seeger and Guernsey and I have had same placed away very carefully in the files.##In regard to the letter from S.A. Puller I do not think I will send her any answer because if I told her Mr. Edison would answer her question she might make a "Proposal" and Ms. Edison might see the letter and would come down to the Laboratory after me with a club and the lady from Texas might come after Mr. Edison with a "Bowie Knife," so I concluded I would put the letter on file in a box which we have here called "Banks."##Sometime when you are at the Laboratory and would like for some nice reading ask for this file and I think it will amuse you very much.##Thanking you for your trouble I remain." Yours truly, John F. Randolph.
