Title
[LB033008], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Samuel Insull, October 8th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Here is a letter from Gilbert Kapp, in regard to whom you cabled me while I was in London. I spoke to Mr. Edison about this matter when he was at Sir John Pender's, and he said that what he desired to obtain from Kapp, was a complete set of drawings of his alternator and Transformer, for which he would pay a liberal amount, and he asked me to see Kapp and give him this information. I telegraphed Kapp, asking him to meet me in London on the 25th September, and he did not turn up, nor did I hear from him again before leaving there on the 27th. I, therefore, turn the matter over to you. Yours truly, A.O. Tate
