Title
[LB033087], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Eugene Bloodgood Beebe, October 12th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Mr. Edison has received your letter of 8th instant, and it is needless for me to say that he is deeply interested in the subject to which you refer. He does not think, however, that it will be possible for him to give very much attention to the preliminary work connected with the proposed Exposition of 1892, for the reason that since his return from Europe he has commenced a new line of experiment which he is following up night and day, and also because the work connected with the preparation of his own exhibit will consume all the spare time at his disposal. He has attended one meeting of the promoters of this Exposition, and they have doubtless listened to his views upon the general question, which are now being popularly discussed. Yours truly, A.O. Tate
