- Title
- [LB033312], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to George Edward Gouraud, October 29th, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- Replying to your various communications, in regard to the slipping of phonograms we found before your complaints reached us, that one of our workmen had used a mandril of improper size in reaming a lot of grams a part of which went to you and caused the trouble to which you refer. Some of these grams were sent out here, with exactly the same result. I am very sorry that this should have occurred but you will be glad to know that the trouble was the result of an error of this nature rather than the result of any serious defect in methods of manufacture.
