Mr. Edison asks me to acknowledge receipt of your letter of 6th instant, in regard to the Proper lamp, and to express his regret at having been unable to meet Mr. Roman this week. Mr. Edison left to-day to be absent probably until Saturday night. He would like to meet Mr. Roman at the Laboratory on Monday next at any hour convenient to the latter. The correspondence enclosed with your letter under reply I will keep on file in this office, in case Mr. Edison and Mr. Roman desire to refer to it. Very truly yours, A.O. Tate
