- Editor's Notes
- I beg to enclose you herewith a letter from Mr. A. Mac[unclear] of the Edison Phonograph Works and I am very much surprised to receive same as I have never used any money belonging to the Edison Phonograph Works without first asking you. ### The money I used on Saturday was given me by Mr. Tate who instructed Mr. Hamilton Miller to draw a check to Mr. Edison's under for $2500.00/ and as Mr. Tate is Secretary of that Company I cannot see how I am to blame for taking the check which he offered me. Yours truly, John F. Randolph
