Title
[LB035084], Recommendation Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to David M Yeomans, December 11th, 1889
Editor's Notes
The bearer of this letter, MR. D. M. YEOMANS, goes abroad in the interest of the Edison Phonograph Toy Manufacturing Company, of Boston, U.S.A., a corporation which is engaged in the sale of speaking dolls and toy figures, under license from myself. This Company has also the right to my inventions in the same connection during the next five years.##In handing this letter to Mr. Yeomans, I have been asked to say a word with relation to the commercial aspect of the Company's business. I cannot say more than that I have full confidence in its success. The field which it covers is a wide one; the market is already established; the novelties offered for sale are peculiarly attractive – in fact, every condition seems to be favorable to the growth of a large business.##As the subject is one which can be readily understood by any person desirous of investigating it, I will add nothing further to this communication beyond the assurance that I will appreciate any courtesies extended to Mr. Yeomans [unclear]."
