Title
[LB035111], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Weyher and Richemond, December 12th, 1889
Editor's Notes
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your esteemed favor of 29th ultimo, informing me that you have sent to Havre, for shipment to America, all the working drawings for the two triple expansion engines of 150 and 300 h.p., with their condensers. I note what you say about the construction of the wood models, and shall be obliged if you will hurry forward the completion of this work as much as possible.##My letter to you of Nov. 21st, in reply yours of 5th Nov., contained the instructions in regard to shipment of 300 horse power engine and condenser, that you ask for in your letter under reply. I asked you to make this shipment via Compagnie Transatlantique Line of Steamers from Havre, addressing it to THOMAS A. EDISON, NEW YORK, and advise me of the name of steamer that carried it. You have no doubt received the communication referred to, and have ere this carried out my wishes therein expressed. I have not yet received advice as to the name of steamer. Very truly yours, [signed] TAE
