Title
[LB035118], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to George T Lewis, December 14th, 1889
Editor's Notes
The speciments of your ore which you sent to Mr. Edison were duly received at the Laboratory and tested. I am sending you by this mail, under separate cover, samples of the ore after having been subjected to Mr. Edison's process, and would suggest that you have them assayed. The red colored sample is iron, and will probably be found good 60% hematite, worth $5.00. The light colored ore probably contains all the zinc, with very little iron. If the results obtained are considered satisfactory, Mr. Edison will be glad to talk business with you. It requires a very considerable change in our process in order to work the ore. Yours very truly, AO Tate
