Dec. 17th. 1889 Messrs Eaton and Lewis 120 Broadway New York I beg to enclose you herewith the Petition of Mr. George W. McLean regarding Taxes. Am not positive that clause after Fol. 4 is correct regarding payment of Taxes in Orange, and I have no way of finding out as Mr. Edison is away, and the Orange House deal was made by Mr. Edison and not through his office. Answer to questions as per your request of the 11th inst.Mrs. Edison died at Menlo Park N.J. between Aug 1st and 12th 1884. Mr. Edison was appointed Administrator through the American [unclear] of New York. Very truly, John S. Randolph
