March 18/90 Sam Insull Esq 44 Wall St New York Dear Sir: Re: Mortgages Replying to your letter of 17th inst the Mutual Life Ins. Co of N.Y. holds a mortgage of $20,000 on the Laboratory made in 1887. November Interest @6% payable semi annually April 20th + Oct 20th I have written there for the date of maturity of which I will advise you. Arnold Constable + Co. New York hold a mortgage on Mr. Edison's house which is not recorded recorded on our books. Interest $3750 per year quarterly. Lydia L. Ropes, Orange N.J. holds a mortgage on the Silver Lake property for $5000 dated Nov 1st/88. 3 years interest 5% payable semi-annually 1st May 1st October. This mortgage redemption of any time.
