April 23, 90 Friend Birkinbine,- My friends in the Iron Ore Company object to my employing you just at the present time. They say that the time has not arrived for it and object to the expense, so I will be compelled to close up our relations after the first of June next. When we really get into big business, I shall probably reengage you. The trouble is, that until I can work off some of my old inventions fire in Laboratory, I cannot give the ore business the attention it deserves. Yours Thos A. Edison
