Messrs Spencer Trask & Co.,
# 18 & 18 Broad St., New York
Dear Sir:-
With reference to the trouble experienced by you in connection with the phonograph mentioned in your letter of 24th ultimo, our man reports that the trouble was with the armature of the phonograph, which was out of its bearings, owing to the centre at top being loose. This was a very simple matter to adjust. I am very pleased that the trouble was not in connection with the battery, which I hope is rendering you satisfactory service.
Yours very truly,
A.O. Tate
