J.C. Henderson, Esq.,
#44 Wall Street, New York City.
My dear Sir:-
I am very much obliged for your letter of 28th instant, upon the subject of the Ogden engine. If this engine is not the one which was running at the Paris Exposition, I have certainly been deceived. I should think the parts ought to show very clearly whether or not it has been operated. If you feel satisfied that the engine has not been run, I think that your suggestions in regard to putting a plate over the steam entrance ought to be carried out.
Yours very truly,
Thomas A. Edison
