Dear Sir:-
Your letter of 13th instant to Mr. Edison, enclosing communication from the Acting Manager of the Smithsonian Institution relating to certain phonograph experiments upon monkeys, newspaper clipping in regard to which accompanied a previous letter of yours on the same subject, has been duly received. The whole correspondence shall be placed before Mr. Edison immediately upon his return from Schenectady. In the meantime I beg to thank you for the trouble which you have taken in the matter.
