July 17, 1891.
Thomas R. Taltavall, Esq., Editor,
The Electrical Age,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
I beg to thank you in Mr. Edison’s behalf of your letter of 16th instant, congratulating him upon the result of the lamp suit.
With reference to the questions which say you desire Mr. Edison to answer, these questions concern the policy of the Edison General Electric Company, and it is not within Mr. Edison’s province to respond to queries of that kind. I would suggest your interviewing the Second Vice-President of the E.G.E. Co., Mr. Samuel Insull, on the subject.
Yours very truly,
A.O. Tate
Private Secretary.
