New York City.
Dear Sir:-
I beg to confirm the following telephone to you this afternoon, in reply to yours of even date:-
“I have examined the prices on oil submitted by Fiske Brothers, and they compare favorably with prices we are paying. We have sufficient of this material now on hand to last us more than a month. Our Engineer suggests that before giving an order to Fiske Brothers they should be required to submit samples of their goods, for the reason that a great deal of trouble and annoyance have been experienced in the past with bad grades of oil. That which we are using now is giving greater satisfaction than was the case with any grade previously used, and is more economical because of its fine lubricating quality, which permits of the oil being used over and over again.”
Yours truly,
Thomas Maguire
