Fred B. Strom, Esq.,
c/o Edison Gen’l. Electric Company,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
Your letter of 24th ultimo in regard to Mr. Edison’s Ore Milling process, has remained unanswered owing to the absence of Mr. Edison, who returned to the Laboratory only a few days ago. In reply he has instructed me to inform you that he is not yet prepared to dispose of his Ore Milling process in foreign countries. Thus far the machines have been manufactured for our own use only and none have been sold to outside parties. Mr. Edison has also instructed me to inform you that a countryman of yours named Wenstrom has an ore milling process which has been worked successfully in this country and which is probably in operation in Sweden. The Wenatrour machine seems to be a good one, and it is cheap. Perhaps it would be applicable to the mine in Sweden referred to in your letter under reply.
Yours truly,
AO Tate
Private Secretary.
