TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
This is to certify that the bearer, ALFRED JOHN LUDECKE, was employed in my Laboratory about two years (1888-1889), during all of which period he performed the duties assigned to him in a satisfactory manner. He left my service of his own accord, and I cheerfully recommend him to any one in need of such assistance as he is capable of rendering.
