Sept. 10, 1891.
Major S. B. Eaton,
Edison Building,
Broad St.,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
I have received your letter of 9th instant, enclosing three Proofs of Claim against the assigned estate of Jesse H. Lippincott, as stated.
In regard to Proof of Claim, for damages to accrue under the content of August 1st, 1898, which you have fixed at $82,500, the amount which was to have been paid me for experimental purposes, Isn’t this North Am. Phonograph Co.? I did not know it was personal. Also, does not filing these claims put alien on the note and in that way cloud its sale? If there is no prospect of getting anything, why cloud the claims, especially if the N. A. P. Co. is liable for the experimental bill.
Yours very truly,
Thomas A. Edison
P. S. I have not executed the Proofs of Claim, and before doing so would like to hear from you on the above points.
