Sept. 16, 1891. A. O. Tate, Esq., Edison Building, Broad Street, New York City. Dear Sir:- I beg to confirm the receipt of your telephone message of to-day in regard to the report on the Catoctin Mine and my replies thereto, as follows: “There is a report which was to be submitted to Mr. Edison on his return from Ogden on Catoctin Mine of Maryland. Did he examine it and with what result? A. O. TATE.” “Re Report on Catoctin Mine: Mr. Edison has not yet examined this report. I will submit it to him this afternoon and communicate with you again immediately thereafter. Thos. Maguire.” “Referring again to your message in regard to the Catoctin Mine, Mr. Edison has read the report thereon and he has instructed me to say to you that he will have one of his experts visit Frederick Co., Maryland, and examine the property, after which he will communicate with you further on the subject.
