Sept. 22, 1891.
My dear Brewster,-
Your letter of 16th instant, enclosing check for one hundred dollars, on account, was duly received by me, and the same has been placed to your credit.
Your remittance was a pleasant surprise. So many of the boys are afflicted with forgetfulness in connection with little matters of this kind that when one of them does the “kind act” it startles me somewhat. Yours very truly,
Thos A. Edison
