Dear Sir:-
The enclosed letter from Mr. Wm Wastele was handed to me by Mr. Maguire and I have read you note on same to me, and I beg to call your attention to the date of these two notes viz: Dec 8-1875 or sixteen years ago which is a very long time to let any note run.
My object in writing you is to ask if you want me to send a check for $270.00 to pay the two notes or do you want me to figure the interest which will amount to over three hundred dollars more.
In sending your reply please return the enclosed papers and oblige
