Edison Building, Broad St. New York City Dear Sir:- I beg to inform you that Mr. Dickson obtained this morning from Mrs. Edison the following medals etc. belonging to Mr. Edison, of which he will proceed at once to make photographs: 1 Gold Medal, French International Exposition, 1878. 1 Bronze “ “ “ “ , 1889 1 Gold Medal, Italian Society of Science. 1 Gold Medal, Souvenir of Eiffel Tower, presented by Eiffel to Mr. Edison 1 Enameled Cigar Case presented to Mr. Edison by the Czar of Russia 2 Gold Medals, in case, Italian order conferred upon Mr. Edison Insignia of the order Legion D’honneur – Commander. “ “ “ “ - Officer Letter of the King of Italy to Mr. Edison, with translation. The following were delivered to Mr. Dickson by the writer: 1 Silver Medal presented to Mr. Edison by the Municipal authorities of the City of Oomo, the birthplace of Volta. Letter from the Municipal Authorities of the city of Come, with translation. Certificate of Membership on the Committee of the International Electrical Exhibition, 1891, Frankfort-one the Main. Certificate of Membership in Royal Academy of Sciences in Stockholm. There are also certificates of Mr. Edison’s Honorary Membership in N. Y. Chamber of Commerce, N. Y. Telegraph Club, and membership in Am. Society of Mechanical Engineers etc., which I assure you do not want Mr. Dickson to photograph. Yours truly, Alfred Ord Tate
