Nov. 19, 1891.
Major S. B. Eaton,
Edison Building, Broad Street,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
With reference to your letter of 14th instant, in regard to the notification received from the Paris Edison Company to the effect that they will no longer pay annuities on certain foreign patents, Mr. Edison says that if the Paris Edison Company propose to allow patents to lapse they should reassign the patents to him, and he wishes you to insist upon their doing this. By permitting the patents to lapse they depreciate property covered by Founders’ Shares, and the European Edison Company have a right to complain.
I return herewith the letter of Messrs. Dyer & Seely on this subject which accompanied your letter under reply.
Yours truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
