Wm. Whitehead, Esq.,
No. 50 Wall Street,
New York.
Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison has received your letter of 8th instant and should any inquiry be made of him with relation to the New Hampshire properties of the Whitehead Mining Co., he will impart no information on the subject. He has sent Mr. Burn to New Hampshire to inspect the properties, sample, etc., and he sincerely hopes that they are not like the Southern gold mines, where the gold is contained in a formation called “Imagination.”
Yours truly,
A. O. Tate
