February 10, 1892. George Parsons Lathrop, Esq., New London, Conn. Dear Sir:- With reference to your letter of 31st ultimo, Mr. Edison has directed me to inform you that he has been unable to write out any more notes for use in connection with your novel, for the reason that he has been sick for the last week or so and could not give the matter attention.
