May 25, 1892.
A.M. McGregor, Esq.,
Room 140, No. 25 Broadway,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
Your letter of 18th instant addressed to Mr. Edison came to hand in his absence, which is the reason for the delay that has occurred in sending you a reply to same.
Mr. Edison directs me to say that he has no objection to your arranging with Major Evans to look after the property which you have purchased at Ft. Myers, Florida, and which adjoins the property there belonging to Mr. Edison. The latter considers the Major a good man and is sure that he will render you first class service in the event of your engaging him for the work. He has charge of Mr. Edison’s property at Ft. Myers.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
Private Secretary.
