Dear Sirs:-
I have received your letter of 25th instant, in which you ask me to obtain a short stencil in Mr. Edison’s handwriting on the Mimeograph. I am always very glad indeed to do anything I possibly can to assist your Company, but we make it a rule never to ask Mr. Edison to assist us in advertising any of the different interests with which he is connected, beyond the simple use of his name. I regret that I cannot comply with your request.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
Private Secretary.
