Dear Sir:-
Replying to your letter of 9th instant, I beg to inform you that there is no one employed at the Laboratory by the name of Wm. F. Stocker; now have we any record of such a person ever having been employed here. There are numerous Edison factories all over the country; the individual in question may be employed in some one of these.
