June 7th, 1893. Thomas A. Edison, Esq. Orange, N. J. My dear Mr. Edison, Referring to our conversation of yesterday in regard to the manufacture of twenty-five (25) sets of Phonoplex instruments, we are very much pressed for these, and it is most desirable that they be gotten out as quickly as possible. The National Transit Co. has ordered material for the equipment of another circuit on their lines, and to fill the order, we will be under the necessity of borrowing some instruments, not having sufficient on hand. I shall therefore be much obliged if you will do what you can to hurry forward this work. Yours very truly, AO Tate
