44 Broad St., New York, July 8, 1893.
Samuel C. Miller, Esq., Treas'r.,
The Nicaragua Canal Construction Company,
No. 44 Wall St., New York.
Dear Sir:-
With reference to your letter of 26th ultimo, in regard to my subscription for 25 shares of the stock of your company, reply to which has been unavoidably delayed, I beg to inform you that Mr. Hotchkiss wanted my name very badly, and on the understanding that I would not be called upon to pay the amount of this subscription before January 1894, I subscribed. I would not have done so on any other condition, and I do not think I should be called upon for payment until the time agreed
Yours truly,
Samuel C. Miller, Esq., Treas'r.,
The Nicaragua Canal Construction Company,
No. 44 Wall St., New York.
