Dec 15th 3 R.N. Dyer Esq- 36 Wall Street New York Dear Sir:- On the 14th inst I received from Messrs Dyer and Seely Application No. 968 for Mr Edisons signature. I handed same to Mr Edison and he read them over very carefully- and handed them back to me and requested me to keep them for him and to write you and say that his application on the Three High Rolls was not satisfactory and that he would like to see you personally about it, and he also stated for you to bring with you Copy of the other case which was filed Yours truly JF Randolph
