Jany 9th 1894 To the Board of Directors of the North American Phonograph Co Gentlemen, The Litigation now going on between the North American Phonograph Co, The Edison Phonograph Works and the United Phonograph Co in all of which I occupy an official position, has clearly impressed me that I cannot continue as President of the North American Phonograph Co any longer, I therefore resign that position to take effect today Yours Truly Thomas A Edison
