Dear Sir:-
Your favor of the 31st ult. came duly to hand. In reply I beg to state that I was over to the City on Dec 21-1896 but you was in Boston. On Monday morning I am compelled to go to Catasauqua as we are going to run through 1100 tons of our Briquettes at Crane Iron Coy and a large number of iron men will be there during the week. We shall finish Sunday the 10th January – after that I will come and see you.
Yours truly
Thos. A. Edison
