Jan 9 97 E. G. Acheson Esq Niagara Falls. New York. Dear Sir:- In reply to your telegram of the 8th inst, I beg to say that Mr Edison is now in Pennsylvania overseeing an important iron ore test, which requires his personal attention. He will not return until next week. He has already received an invitation to attend the Banquet at Buffalo, through Mr E.D. Adams the President of the Cataract Construction Coy but has been reluctantly compelled to decline as the test above referred requires his personal attention. Yours truly W. E. Gilmore Secretary -
