Dear Sir:-
In reply to your favor of the 12th inst., I beg to state that all I know is that Mr Moriarty is trying to put the Phonograph business in Europe on its feet, and I have agreed to give him special low rates for Phonographs if he succeeds, plenty of business can be done with a good profit.
Moriarty should be able to make money if he can get the [illegible] right to work the field.
Yours truly,
Thomas A Edison
