Dear Miss Edison:-
Your Father requested me to inform you that in a very short time you will receive from Mr A. Walker Otis his Lawyer a Government Bond for Ten Thousand Dollars – also some receipts which you will have to sign before the U. S. Consul.
Mr Edison says you are to keep the Ten Thousand Dollar Bonds until he arranges for the balance of the money. After that he will fix up the matter so you sell same through agents of Drexel Morgan and Cy and buy the German Bonds which you require.
Yours truly
J. F. Randolph
